Aside from the private water taxi, another option to go to the island is by Public Ferry via Calapan Port @ Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – 50 kilometers away from Puerto Galera. It is cheaper and a better alternative for those who do not feel comfortable travelling in a small vessel when the sea is a bit rough and choppy.

Upon arrival at Batangas Pier, present your approved SPASS at the entrance. Proceed to buy the ferry ticket from Shipping Companies that run the Batangas to Calapan route – namely, FastCat, Montenegro and Starlite. FastCat would be the best choice since travel time will be less than 2 hours, the others take 3 hours. Pay the 30 pesos terminal fee and board the public ferry.

The fare of FastCat for the premium economy seat is 290 and for business class is 335 per passenger.

Upon arrival at Calapan Port, our driver will fetch you at the arrival area with our air-con Van or Car and off you go to Puerto Galera which is 75 minutes away. Along the way, you might want to stop by your favorite fast-food (McDo, Jollibee, KFC, Shakeys, Chowking) to dine-in or for take-out meals.

At the Villaflor Checkpoint, pay the 120 pesos Environmental User Fee, and present your travel documents (SPASS and Confirmed Booking).
